Image Before My Eyes, the 1981 Joshua Waletzky historical Polish/Jewish documentary ("These are the most appealing, optimistic, idealistic, impassioned people of their time with everything to live for. This was Jewish Poland, 1930."; about the lives of the 3.5 million Jewish people living in Poland between World War I and World War II). What makes this documentary especially interesting is that it focuses on the many wonderful aspects of Jewish/Polish culture at that time, and NOT on the terrible tragedy that occurred to those people shortly after this time period in the Holocaust.
