It is held mostly along Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena, California on New Year's Day (or on Monday, January 2 if New Year's Day falls on a Sunday). The Grand Marshal of the parade is an honorary position selected by the president of the tournament, and some past Marshals included: Shirley Temple, Bob Hope, and Richard Nixon.
