An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) The Dark Horse, the 1932 Alfred E. Green romantic political screwball comedy ("Hilarity is just around the corner"; "He's the laff of both parties"; about a candidate for governor who is pretty dense, and the party secretary, played by Bette Davis, convinces him to hire a campaign manager who is in jail for nonpayment of alimony, and with help from the campaign manager, the candidate stands a great chance of winning the election) starring Warren William, Bette Davis (very young in this role!), Guy Kibbee, Vivienne Osborne, Frank McHugh, and Sam Hardy NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good to fine. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the playdates section at the bottom of the glass. Otherwise, the glass slide itself is in nice condition and the cardboard holder has some minor smudges (as can be seen in our super-sized images). Learn More about condition grades
