An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Bullitt, the classic 1968 Peter Yates San Francisco California crime car chase action thriller ("The word 'cop' isn't written all over him - something more puzzling is."; "There are bad cops and there are good cops - and then there's Bullitt."; "Bullitt comes to this theatre soon. That ought to shake up the place pretty good. Not many freaky cops like Bullitt around. You look at the Italian shoes and the turtleneck and you have to wonder. You listen to the official beefs about 'personal misconduct,' 'disruptive influence,' you figure he's got to be up for trade. But when some rare Chicago blood starts spilling in San Francisco, they give Bullitt the mop. They weren't exactly doing him a favor. But they've done a great big one for you."; "Detective Lt. Frank Bullitt - some other kind of cop. Pity the guy he works for."; "Based on the novel 'Mute Witness' by Robert L. Important Added Info: Note that the "regular" style one-sheet for this movie has information in the top right that makes it look like an advance poster, but actually it was also used after the movie played, and it is offered for sale on a regular basis, whereas this international style one-sheet (which has a completely different image, and does not have ratings) is very rarely offered for sale. The back of the poster has "1SH. FOREIGN" stamped on it (but most of the surviving examples have been linenbacked, so most people don't know that). Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and the restorer did a good job, but you can see signs of the restoration from inches away (since most people look at posters framed on a wall from at least a few feet away, we don't feel this is a defect, but we feel it should be noted). See below for this poster's pre-restoration condition (we are the only major auction company we know of that shares this information with our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). very good to fine. The poster had minor creases along the foldlines and a few minor border defects. There are a few minor smudges in the solid yellow areas. Overall, the poster was in nice condition prior to linenbacking and looks quite nice now! Learn More about condition grades
