McLeod cruise-ship-stowaway seafaring slapstick comedy ("The Four Marx Brothers"; about the four brothers stowing away on a transatlantic cruise ship; concepts from this movie were reused in A Night at the Opera and Room Service) starring the Marx Brothers (Groucho Marx, Harpo Marx, Chico Marx, and Zeppo Marx), Rockliffe Fellowes, Harry Woods, Thelma Todd, Ruth Hall, and Billy Barty NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that the theater that used this glass slide was showing a different Paramount movie with all four Marx Bros, so they neatly cut out the title from the lower right of the slide and someone hand wrote in "ANIMAL CRACKERS", the name of the movie they were showing. Other than this defect, the slide is in nice condition. We know for certain it is from Monkey Business, both because Monkey Business is stamped on the cardboard holder at the top, and also because we previously auctioned a glass slide from this movie that was intact, and that one sold for $650! Also note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: fair to good. The rectangular title area at bottom right was cut out (see above). Please do not bid on this cool glass slide unless you can accept this significant defect.
