A Framed Original Vintage Theatrical Advance Silk Banner Movie Poster (measures 12 1/2" x 19 1/2" [32 x 50 cm]; entire frame measures 15 1/2" x 22") (Learn More) Walt Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the classic 1937 David Hand Walt Disney animated animation family romantic fairy-tale fantasy musical cartoon ("His first full length feature production"; "In the Marvelous Multiplane Technicolor"; "Behold The Miracle of the Movies! Coming to amaze you, charm you, thrill you!"; "With Eight new songs as catching as 'The Big Bad Wolf.'"; "To thrill you"; "Merriment!"; "Melody!"; "Magic!"; "The dwarfs sing their marching song on the way to work."; "Walt Disney's first full length feature production"; "The show sensation of the generation!"; "Wondrously filmed in all the glories of the marvelous multiplane Technicolor"; "The Screen's Supreme Thrill! 1,000 artists worked three years to give you this once-in-a-lifetime show!... A full hour and a half of the most enthralling entertainment you ever experienced... truly the miracle in motion pictures!") featuring the voices of Adriana Caselotti (in the title role as Snow White), Harry Stockwell (as the Prince), Lucille La Verne, Moroni Olsen, and Stuart Buchanan. Note that this movie is always referred to as a "1937" movie, but it actually only had a limited opening in December 1937 (no doubt to qualify for the Oscars), and then it had its wide opening in February 1938. But because it is always referred to as being from 1937, we refer to it that way as well (and of course, it is technically correct). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we once auctioned a different silk banner from the first release of this movie, and that was 22 years ago, and it sold for $1,610. This silk banner, which we have never auctioned before, was clearly designed to solely be displayed in advance of the showing of the movie, while the other one was designed to be displayed while the movie was playing! Note that our consignor framed this banner, and we have pictured it in the frame, and we will send it framed to the new owner if they desire, or we could remove it from the frame and send the poster and frame separately, or we could solely send the poster and discard the frame (that will be the choice of the new owner). Condition: good to very good. The silk banner is slightly ragged around the edges, and it may have been trimmed, or it may have been created this way (we have no other example to compare it to). There are some creases and scuffs scattered in the banner (see our image). Learn More about condition grades
