Important Added Info: Note that there are two slightly different original sets of cards for this movie (the only difference is that one set has a light green background and the other has a light blue background). Both have every bit of original RKO 1946 information they should have, and it is impossible to know if one set predates the other (my personal opinion is that, like with many other lobby cards at this time, the cards were printed in more than one location, and for some reason, some of the cards were printed with a different background color than the other). Every advanced collector I know considers cards from either type of set to be completely original cards, and there is no preference I am aware of for either type of set. If anyone knows more about this difference in color, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good. There were many creases, smudges, and pinholes around the edges. There were some light smudges in the solid background areas. There were some creases, tears, smudges, and tiny areas of paper loss in the blank borders. The person who restored the card performed pretty minimal restoration to the image area, and did inpainting in the blank areas of the borders, to "even them out". You can still see slight signs of the smudges in the light background areas from inches away, but from any distance, they are not very noticeable or distracting. I personally prefer this sort of restoration to the kind where the restorer makes the lobby card look "perfect", because when that is done, the cards require LOTS of inpainting, and often have a "dipped in paint" look which I hate. I don't see that there is anything wrong with seeing slight signs of imperfections in a 60 year-old collectible item (after all, one could display a facsimile lobby card, and that would look REALLY perfect!).
