An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) The Cowboys From Texas, the 1939 George Sherman cowboy western ("Based on characters created by William Colt MacDonald") starring The Three Mesquiteers (Robert Livingston, Raymond Hatton, and Duncan Renaldo), Carole Landis, Charles Middleton, and Ivan Miller NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. The poster had many creases, tears, and areas of paper loss down the entire vertical foldline. There were a much lesser number of creases and tears and small areas of paper loss across the horizontal foldlines. There were many creases, tears, pinholes, and areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster. Given the amount of defects along the foldlines, the poster was restored about as nicely as one could hope. You can see slight signs of the restoration, but it is not very distracting, and you get no sense of just how much restoration was done. The person who did the restoration put new blank white paper over all the borders to even out the appearance (but the small writing at the bottom of the poster was not covered over). This is a common technique used by several top restorers. It is done so well that the majority of collectors are not even aware it has been done, and many do not feel it to be a significant detraction (since it is only blank white area). Overall, the poster has a lot of restoration along the foldlines and in the borders, but it displays quite nicely! Learn More about condition grades
