An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) The Crowd Roars, the 1932 Howard Hawks romantic family relationship automobile car racing sports action thriller ("It's a matter of life and death"; "Beats everything in Sight and Sound"; about two brothers who are race car drivers, who have a falling out, and one quits racing when his best friend dies, but his brother is injured just before he is to race in the Indianapolis 500, and naturally, he takes his brother's place and wins the race!) starring James Cagney, Joan Blondell, Ann Dvorak, Eric Linden (as Cagney's brother), Guy Kibbee, and also starring (real-life racing champions as themselves!) Ralph Hepburn, Fred Frame, Shorty Cantlon, Stubby Stubblefield, Wilbur Shaw, and Mel Keneally NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is one of 22 lobby cards that were discovered under a floor! All of the cards have darkened, and all have staining and holes (mostly around the edges). These are all extremely rare lobby cards, and any of them can be restored by an expert professional. Since a top restorer can remove much of the darkening and staining through chemical means, and since many of the defects are in the borders, these cards will look great after professional restoration, and most of them will require little paint restoration within the image. Note that this card had 1/2" of its right blank border neatly trimmed off, but is otherwise in better condition than any of the cards of this group that were found under a floor. This is especially fortunate, for this card is incredibly rare! You never see anything from this movie, and this great card not only shows James Cagney, but also shows two vintage race cars!
