More romantic than ever...") starring John Wayne, Vera Ralston, Philip Dorn, Oliver Hardy (who is excellent in a rare solo appearance without Stan Laurel!), Marie Windsor, John Howard, Hugo Haas, Grant Withers, Odette Myrtil, and Paul Fix NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this teaser one-sheet, which is surely one of the most rare John Wayne posters from any of his 1940s movies! Note that this one-sheet measures 27 3/4" x 41 1/2" [70 x 105 cm]. Also note that this is a teaser one-sheet (note the complete lack of credits on the poster). Finally, note that this poster has been kraftbacked, which means it was backed onto a brown paper soon after it was printed (this process is called "kraft-backing", and posters with it are called "kraft-backed"). One could have it professionally removed from the kraft paper and linenbacked. Condition: fair to good. There are many creases along the folds and more so at the top and bottom crossfolds, including in Wayne's nose. There is a foreign stamp to the left of Wayne's head in the blank background. There are pinholes and tears around the edges. The bottom 2" was folded back at one time. Obviously, this incredibly rare poster can be removed from the kraft backing and restored, but bear in mind its many defects and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
