BRICK BRADFORD 6sh '47

Lease from Hershenson/Allen Archive

An Original Vintage Six-Sheet Movie Poster (6sh) (Learn More)

Brick Bradford: Amazing Soldier of Fortune, the 1947 Spencer Gordon Bennet science fiction (sci-fi) action adventure serial ("Based upon the King Features Syndicate's tremendously popular cartoon strip"; "Fiendish murder-trap!"; "A Columbia Serial"; "Another sizzling serial scoop... with another adventurer beloved by multi-millions of thrill fans!") starring Kane Richmond (in the title role "as Brick Bradford"), Rick Vallin ("as Sandy"), Linda Johnson ("as June"), Pierre Watkin ("as Salisbury"), Charles Quigley, John Merton, Noel Neill, and Wheeler Oakman. Note that this movie was based on a popular comic strip that debuted in 1933, which was written by William Ritt, a journalist, and drawn by Clarence Gray. It was pure science fiction fantasy, and it predated Flash Gordon by a year, but it never achieved the same kind of popularity in the United States, although it became quite popular in other countries, including Italy and France (where he was known as "Luc Bradefer", which is "Luke Ironarm"!).
