Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Fire Over England, the 1937 William Howard English England/Spain Spanish Armada war historical romantic love triangle adventure thriller (based on the novel by A.E.W. Mason; produced by Alexander Korda) starring Flora Robson (as Queen Elizabeth I of England), Laurence Olivier, Vivien Leigh, Leslie Banks, Raymond Massey (as King Philip II of Spain), Morton Selten, Tamara Desni, James Mason (as Hillary Vane), and Robert Newton. Note that Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh had wonderful romantic chemistry in this movie, which is not surprising, given that they were having an off-screen affair, even though both were married to other people! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good to fine. The poster is linenbacked; prior to restoration the poster had separation, creases, and smudges on some foldlines; there was a small hole in the vertical fold in Olivier's hair; there were small tears, minor creases, and minor smudges around the edges of the poster; there were smudges and small stains in some of the red letters of the title; the poster is in much better condition than the above makes it sound; its basically minor flaws were greatly minimized during the backing process, which was very expertly done; Overall, the poster was in pretty nice condition prior to backing and looks wonderful now!
