His career spanned every decade, with Rooney working until he passed away in 2014 at the age of 93. Some of his movies include: The Bold & The Brave (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Human Comedy (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Black Stallion (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Breakfast at Tiffany's, Captains Courageous, Babes In Arms (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), and National Velvet. He was an American treasure! Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Mickey Rooney! About the Collection this Item Comes From Note that this item (and 37 others we are auctioning this week, each in its own auction) was consigned to us by a man who was a major movie memorabilia dealer from the 1980s on. During that time, he would regularly purchase collections of movie memorabilia from both dealers and collectors, and in some of those collections he purchased autographed items, and over the years he did not re-sell any of the autographed items. Now he has gathered up together all of his autographed items and consigned them to us. So all of these 38 autographed items we are auctioning were purchased by this dealer from longtime dealers and collectors, and we feel it is quite likely that the autograph on this item is authentic! Note that each of the 38 items from this consignor all have this paragraph on them. Condition: very good to fine. There is a corrective credits snipe over the entire bottom of the still.
