Original Vintage Theatrical Argentinean Movie Poster (measures approximately 29" x 43") (Learn More)

The Monster and the Ape, the 1945 Howard Bretherton science fiction (sci-fi) horror serial ("Amazing! Fantastic! Weird! Thrilling!"; "A Columbia Chapter Play") starring Robert Lowery, George Macready, Ralph Morgan, Carole Mathews, Willie Best, and Ray Corrigan (uncredited as "Thor" the ape!). Note that Crash Corrigan made a REALLY wise investment in the 1930s, when he bought a "gorilla suit". In many of the movies in the 1940s where there is a fake gorilla, it is played by Crash Corrigan, no doubt because he could supply the suit!

Important Added Info: This Argentinean poster measures approximately 29" x 43" and is folded.

Condition: good to very good. poster has darkened somewhat with age as is comon with posters of this type (except in the blank area at lower left); 3/4" hole in the upper left in the man's shoulder as well as tack holes around the edges of the poster (some slightly enlarged from rough removal); 2 1/2" tear and tape stain in the left end of the middle horizontal fold as well as a few 1" and smaller tears around the edges of the poster; 1" of each edge of poster folded back at one time; minor creases, smudges, and scuffs throughout the poster (more so along the foldlines)
