A Set of 3 Undated (probably 1950s) Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Mexican Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 12" x 15 3/4" [30 x 40 cm]) (Learn More) Son of Kong, the 1933 Ernest B. Schoedsack fantasy horror action adventure thriller sequel ("Laughs! Thrills! Pathos!"; "New Thrills! New Adventure! New Romance!"; note that King Kong was SO successful that RKO rushed out a very rare same-year sequel, but they made Kong's son a smaller size than his father ["only" 12 feet tall], perhaps because that made filming easier) starring Robert Armstrong (reprising his role as Carl Denham from the previous King Kong), Helen Mack, Frank Reicher, John Marston, Victor Wong, and Edward Brady NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that the designer of these Mexican lobby cards was VERY confused! The title is "Son of Kong", and the border art is from the movie, but the credits and the inset photos are from the original "King Kong"! Also note that there are two different similar re-releases of Mexican lobby cards. One is on a heavyweight paper and measures 13" X 16 1/4", and we believe those are from the 1940s. The others are on a lighter weight paper and measure 12" x 15 3/4", and we believe those are from the 1950s. Condition: good. The card with the monster in the inset has many tiny circular holes and paper loss in the bottom right, and is in "fair" condition. The card with the three people is in "good to very good" condition, and the card with the people leaving the boat is in "very good" condition. Learn More about condition grades
