What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It had a tiny bit of surface paper loss in the bottom left of the dress and in the top center of the poster. Otherwise, it was in nice condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Any restorer could easily touch up those two tiny areas without re-backing the poster.
