Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Folded Australian Daybill Movie Poster (measures 15" x 40") (Learn More) Stowaway, the 1936 William A. Seiter Shanghai China juvenile musical family adventure comedy (from the story by Samuel G. Engel; about the orphan daughter of Chinese missionaries who is left alone in Shanghai, and she is befriended by a visiting American playboy, and when he leaves on a cruise ship, she stows away on it!) starring Shirley Temple, Robert Young, Alice Faye, Eugene Pallette, Helen Westley, Arthur Treacher, and Philip Ahn NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. The poster is linenbacked; prior to restoration the poster had a large area of paper loss in the upper right corner (fortunately, entirely blank white paper), and the borders had stains, creases, and tears; there were many diagonal creases throughout the image area including many within Temple's face. However, the poster was linenbacked by a true master, and the poster's defects have been so greatly minimized that they are not very noticeable from any distance away! One can see the restoration from inches away, but I would think most collectors would be happy to have this poster on their wall! Learn More about condition grades
