A human being."; while there are some parallels to Alice in Wonderland, the movie owes far more to Fellini's 8 1/2; about a director whose first movie seems to be a sure fire hit, and he is contemplating what to do with his newfound fame and ability to make any movie he wants; in his travels, he encounters many real life celebrities in cameo roles, including Fellini) starring Donald Sutherland (in the title role "as Alex in Wonderland"), Jeanne Moreau, Ellen Burstyn, Michael Lerner, Federico Fellini, and Andre Philippe

Perhaps they were intended to be used in both countries.
