Date Sold 2/15/2022Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) The Copperhead, the 1920 Charles Maigne silent Civil War military melodrama (based on the play by Augustus Thomas and the novel by Frederick Landis; about a man who everyone believes was a traitor to the Union during the Civil War, but actually he wasn't as he was placed on a secret mission by President Abraham Lincoln and promised the president that he would never reveal the truth!) starring Lionel Barrymore (as Milt Shanks), William P. Carleton, Francis Joyner, Arthur Rankin, and Nicholas Schroell (as President Abraham Lincoln) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have only auctioned two in all our years of auctioning and that was in 2009 and 2016 (and that same poster from 2009 has been reconsigned to us for this auction!). Note also that this half-sheet is very old, and it would not make sense to attempt to roll it, as the paper is fragile enough that rolling it might damage it. Therefore we will send it in a large flat package. Please bear that extra shipping cost in mind BEFORE placing a bid on this poster! Note that the poster is not so fragile that it is "falling to pieces"! If it is handled carefully, it can absolutely be framed and enjoyed without any worry. Condition: poor to fair. There is a tear at lower right as well as some tattering and paper loss around the edges of the poster (repaired with tape from the back). Learn More about condition grades
