Due to World War I, there were shortages of meat and sugar, so the government put out recipe booklets giving advice on how to cook without meat, and how to make sugarless desserts so that we could "win the war in the kitchen"! The person who received these booklets also cut out 13 newspaper clippings from a column that appeared in their local paper called "Home Cooking" Measurements: from 2" X 5" to 6" x 9"Condition: good to very good. The booklets are in pretty good condition, especially considering their age, but all of them have some amount of staining. The clippings have darkened and are somewhat fragile.
