The Delineator was an American women's magazine founded by the Butterick Publishing Company in 1869 under the name The Metropolitan Monthly. Its name was changed in 1875, and it was published on a monthly basis in New York City. The Delineator featured the Butterick sewing patterns and provided an in-depth look at the fashion of the day. In addition to clothing patterns, the magazine published photos and drawings of embroidery and needlework that could be used to adorn both clothing and items for the home. It ceased publication in 1937.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this poster, or any other posters advertising this magazine! We are guessing it is from the 1910s, and it is surely very early. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
