An Original Vintage Movie Script (measures 8 1/2" x 11" [22 x 28 cm], 133 pages) (Learn More)

It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time, the 1975 John Trent Canadian relationship comedy melodrama starring Anthony Newley, Stefanie Powers, Isaac Hayes ("as Moriarty"), Lloyd Bochner, Yvonne De Carlo, Henry Ramer, Lawrence Dane, and John Candy (8th billed and in his first credited movie role!). Note that this is one of those movies where they hire a bunch of past-their-prime actors and actresses, as well as some up-and-comers, and hope for the best, and by all accounts, this is not the greatest of movies. But years later, when John Candy became a major star, the movie was re-released as a John Candy movie, even though he only had a tiny role (and it was his first credited movie role!).

Important Added Info: Note that this script is the revised draft from July 18, 1974 and the screenplay was written by David Main and John Trent.

Condition: good to very good. The script likely once had a blank orange front cover that is missing. The cover page has some loose from the rest of the script, and there are some stains and tears around the edges of that page.
