An Original Vintage Theatrical Paperbacked Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More) Sons of the Saddle, the 1930 Harry Joe Brown (billed as "Harry J. Brown") romantic love triangle cowboy western starring Ken Maynard, Doris Hill, Joseph W. Girard, Carroll Nye, Francis Ford, and Tarzan (the horse). Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that first release 1930 movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We had previously auctioned one example of this insert (and otherwise had only ever sold a one-sheet from this movie, and that was 28 years ago!), and now the buyer of this insert has now reconsigned it to us, so this is still the only example of this poster we have ever auctioned! Note that this poster has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the poster was backed onto a paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards, and lobby cards. Also note that because this poster was paperbacked onto a thinner paper backing, it COULD be sent rolled, but we would MUCH prefer to send it in a large flat package (because we fear that rolling it, even into a wide tube, would have an excellent change of damaging it, so we will only send it in a tube if the buyer insists, and then they would be responsible for any damage), but otherwise, we will ship it in a large flat package, so bear that expense in mind before bidding on this poster. What IS paperbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. Prior to paperbacking, the poster had pinholes and some tiny paper loss in the blank borders, with minor wear on the folds and a few pinholes scattered in the image, and some smudges scattered throughout the poster. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to paperbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Learn More about condition grades
