Cuba VS Bloqueo (literally translates to "Cuba VS Blockade"), the 2000s Cuban poster series (with a tagline that translates to "You can never block our hope") about what the United States embargo against Cuba has cost the country, and what Cuba would do if it was lifted. The embargo (called el bloqueo in Cuba) is a commercial, economic, and financial embargo imposed by the United States on Cuba. It began in 1958 as an arms embargo and eventually escalated to almost all imports. The UN General Assembly has, since 1992, passed a resolution every year condemning the ongoing impact of the embargo and declaring it to be in violation of the Charter of the United Nations and international law.
