An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm] Movie Still (Learn More)

Cleopatra, the 1928 Roy William Neill silent Ancient Egypt romantic melodrama short ("The world's greatest love story") starring Dorothy Revier (in the title role as Cleopatra), Robert Ellis (as Marc Antony), Serge Temoff, Will Walling, Ben Hendricks Jr., and Evelyn Selbie. Note that everyone has heard of the 1934 version of this movie with Claudette Colbert, and the 1963 version with Elizabeth Taylor, but we have never heard of this version before! It is a 20 minute short that was filmed in sound and in two strip Technicolor, so we wonder if it was not some sort of "test" of the new process. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Important Added Info: Note that this still has an image of artwork created specifically for this movie! Such stills are far more rare than stills which show scenes from the movie! Also note that this still measures 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm].

Condition: good to very good. There are two brown lines of staining on the back of the left and right of the still that have slightly bled through to the front, but they are not very distracting.
