An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) There's Always a Woman, the 1938 Alexander Hall romantic murder mystery crime comedy ("There's never a dull moment!"; "A new laugh hit from the studio that gave you 'The Awful Truth'!"; "From the popular American Magazine story by Wilson Collison"; Blondell and Douglas are husband and wife private detectives, and they get involved in solving a murder) starring Joan Blondell ("Radiant as ever... in an exciting romance!"), Melvyn Douglas, Mary Astor, Frances Drake, Jerome Cowan, and Rita Hayworth (in a small role that became much smaller when the film was cut down at the last minute, and she was therefore uncredited!). Note that this movie was intended to be a Columbia Studios version of MGM's highly successful series that started with "The Thin Man". But this movie had only modest success, and there was a single sequel, "There's That Woman Again" the following year, with Virginia Bruce taking over Blondell's role, and then the idea was dropped. Important Added Info: Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good to fine. The card has only very slightly darkened, typical of Columbia lobby cards of this period, but not as much as other cards, and it is not at all fragile, which is a huge plus! There is a small crease in the top left blank corner, and tiny creases in the other blank corners. Otherwise, the card is in nice condition.
