An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Her Gilded Cage, the 1922 Sam Wood silent romantic mistaken identity stage acting melodrama ("From the play by Anne Nichols"; about a French stage actress whose press agent gives her a notorious past, so that she will be more appealing to fans, but then her straight-laced fiance believes the stories and breaks up with her, but everything works out in the end!) starring Gloria Swanson, David Powell, Anne Cornwall, Charles Stevenson, Walter Hiers, and Harrison Ford (not the same Harrison Ford that we know as an actor today, but a very popular leading man of the 1920s). Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: fair to good. Only one pane of glass is present, and there is no black tape around the edges. It has staining around the edges and some small scratches in the lower left of the image (see our image). This can be cleaned and repaired by a professional or talented amateur, but please do not bid on this slide unless you can accept its defects described above. Learn More about condition grades
