a lot of 39 lobby card sets with envelopes from the 1975 re-release of Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island, the 1950 Byron Haskin English/U.S. Walt Disney family historical pirate adventure thriller ("Greatest Adventure of All!"; "a young cabin boy, a roguish buccaneer. match wits in a swashbuckling adventure!"; "A great ACTION picture ALIVE with excitement!"; "Walt Disney captures every heart-rushing thrill of fiction's mightiest adventure!"; from the classic story by Robert Louis Stevenson) starring Bobby Driscoll ("as Jim Hawkins"), Robert Newton ("as Long John Silver"), Basil Sydney ("as Captain Smollett"), Walter Fitzgerald, and Denis O'Dea. Note that this movie included sequences involving many sailing ships, but the budget did not allow for construction of enough ships, so several extra ships were judiciously added using matte paintings!

Condition: good to very good. Each of the lobby sets were in their original printed bags. Unfortunately, the flap from the bag became stuck to one side of the title card from each set. The rest of the bag has been cut away, but the flap of the bag remains stuck to each title card (see our images). The other cards are in wonderful condition, and of course, a professional (or talented restorer) could remove the stuck on flaps, but bear in mind this defect before bidding on this bulk lot. Note that we removed one of the title cards from one set, but left the others as they are, because we wanted you to see how the lobby cards are affected. The winner of this auction gets 39 sets from this title, each with the original bag.
