What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster was never folded. It had creases, scuffs, tears, and small paper loss around the edges and some creases and scuffs scattered in the image. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. Unfortunately, after it was backed, the poster was roughly handled, and there is a diagonal fold that caused the poster to split in the bottom right corner and 4" above that. Both of those folds are primarily in the black area, and maybe a restorer could repair that without re-backing the poster, or maybe not. Please bear all of the above in mind before bidding on this cool poster.
