Note that Alfred Hitchcock used the two taglines "The birds is coming!" and "The birds is here!" on several different types of advertising for this movie, no doubt because he thought it was funny that while it is technically grammatically correct when referring to the movie, they "sound wrong"! Both panels of the poster had the most minor of wear. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, but at some point after it was backed, someone handled it and caused smudge marks in the top of the left and right borders, both in the edges of the poster and in the excess linen (any restorer could touch up those smudges without re-backing the poster, and they are not very distracting).
