An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie 8" x 11" [20 x 28 cm] Key Book Still (Learn More) Joan Leslie (born Joan Agnes Theresa Sadie Brodel) was an actress from the 1930s to the 1990s. She started acting in 1936 at the age of 11, and she was billed under her real name of Joan Brodel, and she sang and danced, and she did not get to use those talents in enough of her movies. She had her breakthrough in 1941 in High Sierra with Humphrey Bogart, and she was Joan Leslie from then on! Some of her other movies include: Yankee Doodle Dandy, Repeat Performance, and Sergeant York. She passed away in 2015 at the age of 90. Important Added Info: Note that this still is a key book still, mounted to a linen backing. Many studios spent extra money to have their most special photos, the key book stills, either backed with linen or printed on a heavy paper, both of which enhanced their durability. They had an extra 1" at the left or top, with punch holes, because of how they were stored. Key book stills are far more rare than regular stills, which has increased their popularity among collectors, since only a few keybooks were manufactured per film, and a key book still is guaranteed to be authentic. Condition: very good to fine. The still is in very nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
