An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 29" x 42") (Learn More) Paramount Pictures, the circa 1915 stock poster ("Paramount Pictures Can Be Seen at the Best Theatres in your city"). Originally, Paramount was a not a studio, but was a "releasing program" that was a group of small studios who joined together to have an added advantage releasing their movies under one production name. This poster was created to send to theaters who showed mostly Paramount silent movies in its earliest days. Note that even in 1915, the famous Paramount Pictures logo was virtually identical to what it would be many decades later! If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this one-sheet measures 29" x 42". Please do not bid on this poster thinking it is 27" x 41". Condition: good to very good. The poster had a 1/2" x 15" area of paper loss in the right of the top foldline (running across the top of the letters "mount" of "Paramount". There was darkening and water staining on several foldlines. There were tears and tiny areas of paper loss on some foldlines. There were creases, smudges, water stains, tears, and areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the restoration along the right foldline, and of the many border defects, as well as darkening along several foldlines.
