An Original Vintage Exhibitor Magazine (measures 7 3/4" x 10 3/4" [20 x 27 cm]; 52 pages) (Learn More) American Cinematographer ("For Amateur and Professional Photographers"; "International Journal of Film and Video Production Techniques"; "The Motion Picture Camera Magazine"), the monthly professional journal of production techniques. It began in 1920, shortly after the American Society of Cinematographers was founded in 1919, and at first it was a news letter, first biweekly, and then monthly. In 1929, it became a standard magazine. In the 1930s, it was aimed at both amateurs and professionals, but over time, it solely focused on professionals. It continued to be published through the decades, and it now has a digital edition! Important Added Info: Note that we have provided a picture of the front cover of the magazine, and also pictures of one or more interior two-page spreads (but we didn't make much effort to find the best ones!). These images should greatly help you judge the overall condition of the magazine. Please realize that sometimes there were only a few ads in each magazine, and sometimes quite a few, but that often the bulk of each magazine is taken up by stories about current productions and other information of interest to theater owners (and I don't know that this information can be found anywhere else or that it has been reproduced in any book since its first publication!).
