Greetings from Washington D.C. the 1946 postcard booklet featuring art and information of several Washington D.C. area monuments and landmarks. In the 1930s and 1940s, when you went on a trip, you could buy a picture postcard of the place you went to, but in bigger towns, they would sell booklets like these. They contain a long sheet that is accordion wrapped to create 18 "pages", each with a different view of the city (see our images). Back in 1946, it only cost 1 1/2 cents to sent this booklet (as long as you didn't write a message in it or on it!).
