An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More)

Daughter of the Jungle, the 1949 George Blair African jungle safari adventure thriller starring Lois Hall, James Cardwell, William Wright, Sheldon Leonard, Jim Bannon, and George M. Carleton. Note that the "natives" in this movie look like they are almost surely white men dressed in native outfits with their skins darkened. This puzzles me, as I would have thought there was no shortage of black actors available at that time. If anyone knows why this was, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
