Date Sold 8/29/2023 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 25 1963 Re-Release Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Stills (Learn More) Alfred Hitchcock's To Catch a Thief, the 1955 Alfred Hitchcock romantic crime mystery thriller ("It's a web of romance and suspense that spins you from delight to danger - then spirals to an explosive climax on the fabulous Riviera!"; "Based on the novel by David Dodge"; "Screenplay by John Michael Hayes"; about a retired jewel thief living on the Riviera, and there is a string of daring jewel robberies, so naturally, he is the lead suspect, and he decides to find the true thief himself, and he is aided by a beautiful rich young woman and her mother!) starring Cary Grant, Grace Kelly, Jessie Royce Landis, John Williams, Charles Vanel, Brigitte Auber, Rene Blancard, Georgette Anys, and Jean Martinelli. Note that Cary Grant had announced his retirement from movies in 1953, but he was lured out of retirement by Hitchcock to make this one. Also note that Jessie Royce Landis, who had played Grant's mother in "North by Northwest", this time played his potential mother-in-law, and yet, she was only eight years older than Grant, who had aged very well! Important Added Info: Note that these stills have the original 1955 date printed on the bottom, but fortunately "A Paramount Re-Release" was added to the bottom, so in that way you can tell that they are not 1955 stills. We know they are from the 1963 re-release, and they have a difference in printing quality from 1955 stills. They also include a number of scenes that we have not seen before, which makes them really cool, because they may be scenes that were not used in 1955 (or maybe they just haven't turned up yet!).
