Artist: Glenn Cravath Important Added Info: Note that this is a "stock" poster created by Columbia for use for all chapters of their "Lost Planet" serial. Theaters would order this poster, which had a large blank rectangle in the bottom left. They would be sent a series of large paper snipes with the titles of specific chapters of the serial, and they could paste in each snipe as needed, thus getting many posters for the price of one. There were also stock posters from this serial that were overprinted with the names of the specific chapters, for theaters willing to purchase an entire set of them. This particular stock poster has a blank area, indicating it likely was never used. Also note that the poster says "A COLUMBIA SERIAL REPRINT" in the lower left border. This was a terminology used by Columbia Pictures at this time for some re-releases, and it has caused some collectors to be confused! This poster is the original poster from the 1960 re-release of this movie, and is NOT a "reprint"! Condition: good to very good. The poster has slight discoloration along the center of the vertical foldline that has caused some minor separation in the upper two censor stamp (see our image). There is a piece of paper glued on back that very slightly bleeds through to the front in portions of the title area. None of the defects are very noticeable or distracting from a reasonable viewing distance, and otherwise the poster is in pretty nice condition. Learn More about condition grades
