Auction History Result #586 DARK CORNER two 8x10s '46 film noir Date Sold 2/19/2002Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 2 Original Vintage Theatrical 8x10 Stills (Learn More) The Dark Corner, the 1946 Henry Hathaway crime film noir ("Based on a Story by Leo Rosten"; about a private detective who goes to jail, and when he is released, he returns to his occupation, assisted by his faithful secretary, played by Lucille Ball, and his former partner frames him for murder, and only his secretary can save him) starring Lucille Ball, Clifton Webb, William Bendix, Mark Stevens, Kurt Kreuger, Cathy Downs, Reed Hadley, Constance Collier, and Eddie Heywood & His Orchestra NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: very good. The still of the two men fighting is 1/4" less than 8", but it does not appear to have been trimmed. One still has a pair of staple holes in each corner and minor staining in the glossy coating but it is only noticeable when held at an angle. This week on eBay, eMoviePoster is selling a remarkable group of original vintage 8x10 stills. All of the stills came from closed down movie theaters or poster exchanges. Many of them have original notations on the back that would certainly seem to confirm that they are indeed original.
