An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Pressbook (pb; measures 10" x 13 3/4" [25 x 35 cm]; 16 pages) (Learn More) Brick Bradford: Amazing Soldier of Fortune, the 1947 Spencer Gordon Bennet science fiction (sci-fi) action adventure serial ("Based upon the King Features Syndicate's tremendously popular cartoon strip"; "Fiendish murder-trap!"; "A Columbia Serial"; "Another sizzling serial scoop... with another adventurer beloved by multi-millions of thrill fans!") starring Kane Richmond (in the title role "as Brick Bradford"), Rick Vallin ("as Sandy"), Linda Johnson ("as June"), Pierre Watkin ("as Salisbury"), Charles Quigley, John Merton, Noel Neill, and Wheeler Oakman. Note that this movie was based on a popular comic strip that debuted in 1933, which was written by William Ritt, a journalist, and drawn by Clarence Gray. It was pure science fiction fantasy, and it predated Flash Gordon by a year, but it never achieved the same kind of popularity in the United States, although it became quite popular in other countries, including Italy and France (where he was known as "Luc Bradefer", which is "Luke Ironarm"!). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of this pressbook, and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Also note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners purchased pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut! Condition: very good, NO CUTS. Learn More about condition grades
