A Linenbacked Danish Advertising Poster (measures 23 1/4" x 33 3/4" [59 x 86 cm]) (Learn More) Tidens Mobler (literally translates to "Contemporary Furniture"), the 1942 Danish advertising poster promoting furniture sold by FDB (Faellesforeningen for Danmarks Brugsforeninger), and featuring Aage Sikker Hansen art of a girl sitting at a table. Note that the poster has no words on it. Our consignor (who has owned this poster for over 30 years) tells us that this is because the company printed lots of these posters and then stores used them to advertise the furniture for their store, and they would have the blank areas overprinted with specific information. It is definitely an original Danish advertising poster from 1942. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Aage Sikker Hansen Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded. It had a few small tears around the edges and a few tiny bits of paper loss in the image. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking.
