An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked French One-Panel "Grande" Movie Poster (1p; measures approximately 45" x 62") (Learn More) The Fastest Gun Alive, the 1956 Russell Rouse cowboy western ("Based upon the story 'The Last Notch' by Frank D. Gilroy"; about a man who is the fastest draw ever seen, but has to move from town to town because he keeps being challenged by people who hope they are faster than he is!; he successfully sheds his past and lives in a tiny town until a notorious outlaw tracks him down and challenges him) starring Glenn Ford (in the title role), Jeanne Crain, Broderick Crawford, Russ Tamblyn, and Joseph Sweeney NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Roger Soubie Condition: good. The poster had small paper loss at some crossfolds and some creases, tears, and tiny paper loss on parts of some foldlines. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. Unfortunately, this poster was backed onto an extremely thin linen, and at some point after linenbacking, the poster was roughly handled and there are now creases around the edges of the poster (in both the thin linen and the poster itself), and there are a lesser number of creases scattered within the image. There are tears and the poster is lifting from the linen in the center of the top border. If I owned this cool poster, I would certainly immediately have it removed from the thin linen, and after proper linenbacking and restoration, the poster will look wonderful, and will likely require little paint restoration within the image area.
