The best-loved Musical Romance of our time!"; "A breath-taking motion picture as big as all outdoors!"; "It's here at popular prices!"; "Music by Richard Rodgers"; "Book and Lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II"; "Dances staged by Agnes DeMille") starring Gordon MacRae (as Curly), Gloria Grahame (as Ado Annie), Shirley Jones (as Laurey), Gene Nelson (as Will Parker), Charlotte Greenwood (Aunt Eller), Eddie Albert ( as Ali Hakim), James Whitmore (as Mr. Carnes), Rod Steiger (as Jud Fry), James Mitchell, and Bambi Lynn (Mitchell and Lynn played the "dream" Curly and Laurey in the dream dance sequence). Note that 20th Century Fox distributed this movie in the U.S., but sold the distribution rights to RKO for it's international release.
