An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Style B One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More)

Broadminded (Broad Minded), the 1931 Mervyn LeRoy romantic love triangle screwball comedy ("Story by Bert Kalmar and Harry Ruby"; "Half Man Half Mouth!"; about a rich young man who is a playboy, and his father sends him to California to straighten out, but he romances every woman he meets along the way, and when he gets to California, he proposes to a woman, only to have his jilted sweetheart show up) starring Joe E. Brown, Ona Munson, William Collier Jr., Marjorie White, Holmes Herbert, Margaret Livingston, Thelma Todd, Bela Lugosi, and Grayce Hampton. Note that this was one of four movies Bela Lugosi made in 1931 after he made Dracula, but those four movies were finished before Dracula became a major hit, and so he is seventh billed, and not mentioned or shown on any of the advertising, except for a few stills and perhaps a lobby card or two.

Important Added Info:

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had many horizontal creases scattered throughout the poster, some quite close together. The person who backed the poster did something wrong, because the poster is slightly "bubbling up" from the linen, in some of the areas where there are lots of creases. If I owned this poster, I would surely give it to a talented restorer and see if they could perform additional restoration without re-backing it, or if need be, I would have them re-back the poster, and correct its defects.
