Artist: B.S. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare Italian poster from during World War II, which we have never auctioned before! Virtually no Italian posters survive from before, during, or right after World War II (mostly only some heavy stock lobby cards, and even those are rare). Apparently there were many paper shortages in Italy during World War II, resulting in the destruction of almost all posters from before World War II, and also from during the war, and the first few years afterwards! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster had small paper loss at some crossfolds and some creases, tears, and tiny paper loss on many parts of some folds. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. At some point after it was backed, it was unfortunately stained in areas down the right side. Much of the staining is in the excess, but a little bit of it affects the poster. One could trim away all of the excess border and then performed slight touch up to the part of the border that was affected, but bear all of this in mind before bidding on this very rare poster.
