An Original Vintage French Trade Ad (measures 9 1/4" x 12" [23 x 30 cm]; 16 pages) (Learn More) Paramount Pictures 1937-38, the 1937 French trade ad which was sent to French theaters to try to get them to book upcoming Paramount releases. It is printed on a single 23" x 36 3/4" sheet that cleverly folds to create many "pages", and when folded, the outside serves as a cover, and as you unfold it, you learn about the Paramount movies and see a production chart, and when it is completely unfolded, it opens to a 23" x 36 3/4" poster that has images of stars from 15 upcoming Paramount movies, including ones with The Marx Bros, Marlene Dietrich, and many more (see our many images). In addition, there is a great color ad for Popeye, showing him sitting at a desk and being interviewed. This trade ad is surely extremely rare! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this cool French trade ad! That example has now been reconsigned to us, so this is still the only example we have ever auctioned! It appears that this trade ad was removed from a French exhibitor magazine, because there are remnants of a binding on the edge of the trade ad. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: good to very good. Learn More about condition grades
