RKO had ceased to exist at the time this movie was finally released, and Universal probably re-used old printing plates, and put their logo at the bottom, covering over the old one which explains why materials on this movie have both studios printed on them! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Ren Wicks Important Added Info: Note that some posters for this movie have the RKO logo in the lower right, but under that is "Released by UNIVERSAL-INTERNATIONAL". There are other posters that don't have that printing in the lower right, but which have the RKO copyright overprinted with black in the lower left, and have "UNIVERSAL PICTURES CO., INC." overprinted below it. We believe this means that the Universal posters were used for the non-U.S. release of this movie. If anyone knows for sure, please e-mail us and we will post it here. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and pretty minor fold and border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
