An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22" [36 x 56 cm]) (Learn More) A Dog of Flanders, the 1935 Edward Sloman canine German shepherd dog melodrama ("From the novel by 'Ouida'") starring Frankie Thomas, O.P. Heggie, Helen Parrish, DeWitt Jennings, Ann Shoemaker, and Lightning (billed as "Lightning, Famous Dog Actor"). Note that Lightning made an uncredited appearance in the 1934 movie, "The Case of the Howling Dog", and that got him discovered and he starred in a half dozen movies over the next three year, after which he retired from the screen! Important Added Info: Note that first release 1935 movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only auctioned a single lobby card and several stills (but no posters) from this movie until we received this window card! Also note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded. Condition: very good. There is a 1 1/2" tear in the upper right blank border. Learn More about condition grades
