An Original 1920 (from the first release of this movie in Sweden) Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Swedish Movie Poster (measures 22" x 34 1/2" [56 x 88 cm]) (Learn More) The Woman Next Door, the 1919 Robert G. Vignola silent romantic unhappy marriage murder crime melodrama ("By Carolyn Wells"; about the wife of a rich man who is unhappy, and she leads a double life, sneaking out and having a good time, but then her husband is found murdered and her alter ego is the number one suspect!) starring Ethel Clayton, Emory Johnson, Noah Beery Sr., Jane Wolfe, and Katherine Griffith. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Bryary Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had minor wear on the foldlines. There are smudges in the top of the poster and scattered dots in the solid purple areas, but they all seem to be part of how the poster was printed (we would think the smudges at top are a printing defect). Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Learn More about condition grades
