A Folded 1967 Russian Special Poster (measures 22 3/4" x 35 1/4" [58 x 90 cm]) (Learn More)

Illiteracy is Blindness (literal translation of the Russian title), the 1920 Russian educational poster (with taglines that translate to "Bad luck and unhappiness waits for him everywhere"; "Books about farming and animals, about raising pigs, about agriculture.") encouraging citizens to learn how to read. Note that this campaign lasted many decades and the poster was re-printed multiple times.

Artist: Alexei Alexandrovich Radakov

Important Added Info: Note that this 1967 poster features artwork taken from the earlier 1920 poster! Note also that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: fair to good. The poster has surface paper loss and paper remnants around the edges (see our image).
