An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Italian Movie Poster (measures 19 1/2" x 27 1/2" [50 x 70 cm]) (Learn More) Liebeskomedie (literally translates to "Romantic Comedy"), the 1943 Theo Lingen German romantic comedy (about a young woman who wants to advance her career as a painter and to do so she claims to be the lover of a famous opera composer, but he finds out about it and investigates her only to fall in love with her!) starring Magda Schneider, Lizzi Waldmuller, Johannes Riemann, Albert Matterstock, and Theo Lingen. It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: Embs Important Added Info: Note that movie paper from this film is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from this movie until we were consigned this poster! It was printed in Germany during World War II. There are very few German movie posters from during World War II in existence (because of the massive paper shortages in Germany during World War II), and most of those few are in museums. It is likely that German posters from during the Nazi era are even more rare than those from before that era, because most of those that survived the war would have been destroyed right after the war! Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good. The poster has many small creases and tears scattered in various areas and there are creases, defects, areas of paper loss and tears of varying lengths along parts of some edges (partially repaired with tape from the back). It is otherwise "all there" and the very rare poster could have some proper restoration performed and the poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
